The Mont Blanc Circuit is deservedly one of Europe's classic walks, circumnavigating western Europe's highest mountain. Starting out in the Chamonix Valley, this superlative walking holiday makes a complete circumnavigation of Mont Blanc and its satellite Alpine peaks. Walking firstly into Italy and then Switzerland, the trekking route follows picturesque Alpine valley trails and walking up and down steep mountain paths.

What to Expect
This is a challenging trek that will require a good level of fitness. We will walk an average of 17km per day, over varying terrain. The tour passes through very impressive mountain scenery in France, Switzerland and Italy. The length of the tour is approximately 160km and the route crosses several high mountain passes. The total ascent and descent is around 16000m.
Itinerary
We will meet at our b&b on the Friday evening at 9pm, for a briefing and equipment check. We will depart around 5am and commence our walk from pen y pass. This long day will finish in the ogwen valley. We will complete the challenge on Sunday, normally by mid afternoon, in time for a satisfied drive home.
