Sport climbing is a form of outdoor rock climbing that involves routes equipt with permanent anchors (called bolts). It requires certain skill sets in order to perform safely, however, requires less equipment, skills, and risk when compared with trad climbing. Therefore it is a great way to begin your outdoor climbing career when progressing from the indoor gym. It's also a safer way to push your grade on real rock, and a good stepping stone and training technique for learning to traditional climb.
